Study Gives Ohio 'Average' Score For Being Tax-Friendly to Taxpayers

(OHIO) - A new study by financial website MoneyGeek ranks Ohio as average for how much residents pay in income, property, and sales taxes.

Data from the study gave the Buckeye State a 'C' grade for being tax-friendly, based on a married couple with one child making the median national income of 82-thousand-dollars and owning a $349,000 home.

The study showed if that couple lived in Ohio, they would pay almost eleven-percent of their income to taxes.

Ohio's neighboring states returned similar results, with Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Kentucky scoring a 'C', while Indiana was given a 'B' and Michigan received a 'D.'
