Climate change and supply chain issues are leading to a Christmas tree shortage.
Both natural and artificial trees will be in short supply and what is available will cost more. Supply chain problems are slowing the shipment of artificial trees from factories in China to retailers in the U.S.
And supply chain issues are pairing up with weather disasters due to climate change to slow the shipment of a reduced supply of real trees to market. Between flooding and drought there are a lot less real trees to go around. Expect to pay up to double the average price for trees.
