On Chargers QB Justin Herbert:
“I see he had a good rookie year last year, and he is hot right now. He has a lot of experience from last year and this year. He is hot so we have to get on him early and stay on him the whole game.”
On strengths of his game, in addition to his closing speed:
“Probably just doing my job and my play speed. I think I play at a high level and high speed. I do not really take any plays off. I think pride myself on it.”
On the significance of LB Anthony Walker Jr. potentially returning this week:
“Leader of the defense. Leader on and off of the field. He is great for us. He does a great job of just keeping our head on straight and making sure that we are good with anything that we need.”
On the Browns defense’s attacking style during the past two weeks:
“Winning and having success on defense is great. That is what we play the game for. It is good to see it all come together. We just have to keep it up.”
On preparing for the Chargers’ offensive weapons:
“Take it like every week. The Chargers, they do have great receivers – (Chargers WRs) Keenan Allen and Mike Williams on the outside. (Chargers TE) Jared Cook is like a wide receiver himself at tight end. We have to prepare for those guys and keep our head on straight.”
On if he believes he is improving each game:
“Yeah. No doubt.”
