(Lakewood, OH) - The Lake County General Health District (LCGHD) is offering free private/residential well water samples on Tuesdays from October through the end of December by calling (440) 350-2543.
Appointments will be scheduled on a first-come-first-served basis.
The tests will be certified and approved in a laboratory.
Because private residential wells are often shallower than large volume public supply wells and more to contamination, homeowners are encouraged by the LCGHD to have their well water tested regularly.
LCGHD recommends that private well owners test their well water each year for contaminants, such as total coliform bacteria and other contaminants that may be of concern in your area. A homeowner may test more often if a problem is suspected.
