NEW YORK CITY, NY -- The Cleveland Indians got revenge on the New York Yankees on Saturday afternoon in the Bronx, following an 8-0 beat down the night before. Yu Chang got the scoring party going early on a solo blast in the 2nd inning. Tribe middle infield prospect Andres Gimenez blew the game open on a 3-run shot to right center field in the 5th inning, an inning in which the Indians scored 7 total runs, marking the most runs scored all season in one inning for the tribe. Despite a late push by the Bronx Bombers, the Indians held on to win the game by the final score of 11-3.
Aaron Civale was brilliant in his start against the Yankees on Saturday afternoon. Civale gave up 0 runs on 4 total hits in 6 innings of impressive pitching. Giancarlo Stanton and Luke Voit paired up for homers in the late innings off of Bryan Shaw and Justin Garza.
