Los Angeles, CA -- The Cavaliers came out flat in the second half, and the defending NBA Champs took advantage. The Lakers were without superstars LeBron James and Anthony Davis who are both sidelined due to injuries. After being down by seven at half, the Lakers outscored the visiting Cavaliers 28-10, before closing the door in the fourth quarter to secure a 100-86 win.
Without two of their best players, the Lakers needed someone to take charge, and Montrezl Harrell stepped up in a big way. Harrell had 24 points and 10 rebounds as he was at the forefront of the Los Angeles comeback. German point guard Dennis Schroeder notched 17 points, and sharpshooter Talen Horton-Tucker contributed 15 points.
The Cavaliers will continue their west coast road trip when they take on the Sacramento Kings on the second night of a back-to-back for Cleveland. Tip-off for Saturday's showdown is set for 10:00 pm Et at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California.
