Atlanta Pulls Away Late to Top Cavaliers 100-82

ATLANTA, GA -- The Atlanta Hawks have been red-hot since Nate McMillan took over as interim head coach, as they looked to win their fifth straight game on Sunday night. Cleveland's bench crew kept them close to Atlanta through most of the game. Atlanta's constant success beyond the arc proved to be too much for the Cavaliers, as the Hawks pulled away with a 100-82 victory.

With Trae Young having a quiet night in the scoring department, Atlanta forward John Collins stepped up and took charge. Collins recorded a double double with 22 points and 13 boards, shooting an efficient 8-17, including 2-4 from three. Danilo Gallinari took advantage of his size, scoring 20 points while knocking down 7 of 7 from the charity stripe.

The Cavaliers' offense fizzled out quickly in the fourth quarter, being outscored 31-16. Collin Sexton led the Cavs in scoring with just 15 points. Cleveland forward Kevin Love was removed from the game just two minutes in, stating that he just didn't feel right.

Cleveland will have Monday off before heading to Miami to take on the Heat. Tuesday's tip-off is set for 8:00 pm ET at AmericanAirlines Arena in Miami, Florida. Check out highlights from tonight's game below!
