(Findlay) - The FBI has arrested a Catholic priest, charging him with sex trafficking. Rev. Michael Zacharias was arrested Tuesday morning at his home by members of the Northwest Ohio Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force.
Zacharias, 53, is pastor of St. Michael the Archangel parish in Findlay.
He is facing federal charges of coercion and enticement, sex trafficking of a minor, and sex trafficking of an adult by force, fraud, or coercion.
The complaint against Zacharias says he has been engaged in sexual conduct with minors since the late 1990s. The FBI is asking anyone who had contact with Zacharias where they may have been groomed for sexual purposes, were inappropriately touched, or were sexually assaulted by Zachiarias, to contact the FBI at 216-622-6842.
