(Cleveland) - The FBI's local Crimes Against Children Task Force has arrested a Cleveland man on child pornography charges.
According to the FBI, Benjamin Whitcomb, 26, had been investigated since an undercover police officer engaged in a conversation with Whitcomb in an online chat room called "Pedcast Chat." During the chat, Whitcomb indicated he would have access to his two small children, that he had previously "played" with them, and planned on making a video with them.
An investigation determined that Whitcomb, under the screen name "benshady69," had distributed 14 images and videos of child sexual abuse material with others online.
On Friday, August 14, a federal search warrant was executed at Whitcomb's home. He was arrested without incident, and is charged with receipt and distribution of child pornography.
