Special Election A Dry Run For November

(Maple Heights) - A special election Tuesday in Maple Heights is acting as a dry run for the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections on how they can run an election this November.

County Board of Elections Director Tony Perlatti says voters going to two polling places in Maple Heights will see poll workers wearing face masks. There will also be extra spacing between sign-in desks, and between voting booths.

One extra thing voters will see is a poll worker, wearing a yellow vest. That person's job will be to sanitize all touchable surfaces, including the voting booths before they're used.

Perlatti says they'll talk to poll workers after the election, and use their input to help determine for November what will work, and what won't.
