(Cleveland, OH) - Attorney General Dave Yost announced Monday that $8.75 million from the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act will be allocated support rape crisis centers and domestic violence shelters in Ohio, in addition to $1 million to combat COVID-19 scams throughout the state.
Sondra Miller, President and CEO of Cleveland Rape Crisis Center, said, “During a time when there is a lot of uncertainty, especially for survivors of rape and sexual abuse, we applaud Attorney General Dave Yost for his office’s ongoing commitment to survivors by appropriating these funds to rape crisis centers and domestic violence shelters in Ohio.
