(Cleveland) - Due to the pandemic, if you get a traffic ticket in Cleveland, you may be able to avoid going to court, and avoid getting points.
Cleveland Municipal Court and the city prosecutor's office are trying to limit the number of of people who show up in court. As of now, minor misdemeanor moving violations that don't involve an accident can be reduced to a non-moving, no-point violation.
All you have to do is, file paperwork with the court. After that, you plead guilty, and you just pay the fine. There will be no points on your record, and you won't have to show up in court.
You still have the option of going to trial, but trial dates will be after the pandemic eases up.
