(Cleveland) - If you want to enter a guilty plea in Cleveland Municipal Court, you won't have to do it before a judge.
In a way to minimize public contact, Cleveland Municipal Court will allow you to use their website to enter a not-guilty plea online, which would then be followed by a video hearing via Zoom.
Court officials are quick to point out that this is only for traffic violations, and non-violent misdemeanors.
Only the first hearing would be online. The actual trial, and sentencing, would be in person, while you're wearing a mask.
