(Cleveland) - The pandemic has meant a lot of changes for social service agencies in Greater Cleveland. Normally, the Greater Cleveland Food Bank would serve meals to large groups of children while school's out.
This year, however, they're handing out Grab 'n Go-style meals at 60 locations across Northeast Ohio, even using what looks like a food truck at some locations.
The Food Bank's Karen Pozna says congregate meals are impossible to do this summer because of social distancing, so instead, they will hand out sack lunches. Since the Food Bank will be able to do only one stop every few days at some locations, children will be able to receive lunches for multiple days that can be refrigerated.
The Food Bank and the USDA have put together a web site with an interactive map showing locations, times, and dates for summer food distributions.
