(Akron) - You may have heard of places where gambling goes on as a "gambling house." Now, in the Akron area, there's a literal interpretation of that.
The Summit County Sheriff's Office says it got a lot of complaints about high vehicle traffic at a home on Beechnut Drive in the City of Green. Deputies did a criminal investigation into allegations of gambling and drugs.
On Saturday, deputies obtained a search warrant for the home. Inside, deputies found gambling equpment, money, a firearm, and suspected illegal drugs.
Adam Syed, 37, of Green, was arrested on a charge of gambling, and of operating a gaming house. Syed is in the Summit County Jail.
