Cavs Lose Another At Home, Knicks Win In OT

CLEVELAND -- The Cavaliers were unable to stop Marucs Morris who had a team high 26 points for the Knicks, including seven straight in overtime, as the Knicks hand the Cavs another home defeat 139-134 in OT.

The Cavs were on a 10-0 run mid way through the 4th after Kevin Love made a great hustle play to get the ball to Osman, who threw the ally-oop to Kevin Porter Jr for the slam, but they let the Knicks back in the game who came back with a 12-2 run of their own to tie the game at 120. The team then traded baskets back and forth and with the Cavs down three with less than a minute to go, Colin Sexton drilled a 3 to tie the game which would send it to OT.

The overtime started with a 3 for the Cavs from Darius Garland to, but the Knicks battled back to take a lead before Kevin Love hit the jumper to put the Cavs up 1, but after that Marcus Morris went on a personal run by hitting a couple of jumpers to put the Knicks up by 3 and that would be the ball game. The Cavs suffered their 11th straight home loss and fall to 13-38 on the season, the Knicks improve to 15-36 on the season.

Leading the way for the Knicks was Marcus Morris who had 26 points on 8 of 15 shooting, and Julius Randle who added 20 points and 8 rebounds on 9 of 16 shooting. Off the bench Dennis Smith Jr had 15 points and 4 steals, a few of which swung the game early on.

For the Cavaliers, Kevin Love had a season high 33 points on 12 of 20 shooting and grabbed 13 rebounds to lead the team. Colin Sexton continued his hot scoring streak, getting 29 points on 11 of 22 shooting and dishing out 7 assists. Larry Nance Jr. added 18 points and 6 rebounds, starting in place of Tristan Thompson, who sat out with a leg injury. Kevin Porter Jr. lead the team off the bench with 12 points.

Next up for the Cavs is an away game against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday night, tip off is scheduled for 8pm.
