In their first game since the tragic death of Kobe Bryant, his daughter, and the seven other victims of the crash, the Lakers paid tribute to Kobe prior to their game against the Portland Trail Blazers. It was an emotional night for the Lakers organization as the team honored Kobe with a pregame video and LeBron James had a emotional speech honoring Kobe and what he meant to the NBA and the world. Here are a few excerpts from the ceremony including the pre-game video and LeBron's speech. The team's also paid tribute to Kobe, like many other teams have, by each taking a 24 shot clock violation and an 8 second backcourt violation as well.
