Browns Keep Slim Playoff Hopes Alive with 27-19 Victory Over Bengals

CLEVELAND, OH -- After getting just three touches in the first half, the Cleveland Browns looked to get Nick Chubb involved in the second half. Chubb opened up the second half with a monsterous 57 yard-run, followed by a touchdown run by Kareem Hunt. Denzel Ward made the play of the game, picking off Andy Dalton and taking it to the house, as the Browns knocked off the Cincinnati Bengals in the first game of 'The Battle of Ohio.'

The Browns came out on Sunday airing the ball out, and it was not working out well for the Browns. Mayfield threw what appeared to be his third interception of the game with 4:58 left in the game, before being reversed due to pass interference. Following the call reversal, the Browns drove down and kicked a field goal to take a two possession lead on the Bengals.

Cincinnati was given numerous opportunities to score in the the redzone, but came up short over and over again. The Bengals were down by 8 points inside the 5-yard line on 4th down with the 4th quarter winding down. Andy Dalton ran a quarterback draw, and got stuffed on the doorstep of the Cleveland Browns endzone.

Despite only receiving 15 carries, Nick Chubb led the Browns in rushing with 106 yards. Baker Mayfield tossed completed 11 of 24 passes for 192 yards and two interceptions, and found the endzone on a 7 yard rush. Jarvis Landry continues to be Mayfield's favorite target, leading the Browns in receiving once again with 7 receptions for 76 yards.

The Cleveland Browns will look to stay in the playoff hunt as they will travel to Arizona to take on the Cardinals. Kickoff is set for 4:05 PM ET on December 15th, at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. Check out postgame sound and highlights from today's game below!
