BOSTON, MA -- The Cleveland Cavaliers traveled to TD Gardens in Boston to take on the Celtics as the NBA regular season is vastly approaching. The Celtics held the Cavaliers to 9 points in the 2nd quarter as they headed to halftime with a comfortable 33 point lead. Boston came out to the second half with the same confidence that they displayed earlier on, as they cruised to a 118-72 victory over the visiting Cavaliers.

Coach Beilein Cavaliers struggled from the field, shooting an alarming 32.9%, while shooting 17.5% beyond the arc. The young Cavaliers squad took themselves right out of the game with sloppy offensive possessions. Cleveland ended the game with more turnovers than field goals as they were routed by the Celtics. The Cavs turned the ball over an abysmal 27 times.

Boston rookie Max Strus, who signed a 2-year contract with the Celtics ahead of Sunday's game, led all scorers with 14 points, shooting an efficient 4-7 from the field. 7'6" Center Tacko Fall entered the game in the fourth quarter to a standing ovation from an excited Boston crowd. The big man out of UCF scored 4 points, pulled in 2 boards and dropping 2 assists in just under 7 minutes of play time.

The Cleveland Cavaliers will close out the 2019 NBA Preseason on Tuesday evening as they will be taking on the Boston Celtics. Tip-off is set for 7:00 pm ET at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland, Ohio. Check out highlights from today's game below!
