Epstein Is Dead, The Quest To Find The Truth Shouldn't Be

Jail protocols requiring routine checks on the wellbeing of accused sex trafficker Jeffery Epstein appear to have not been followed in the hours before the millionaire was found hanging in his cell at the Metropolitan Correctional Center (MCC) in New York City, sources told reporters on Sunday.

As an inmate in the Special Housing Unit at MCC, Epstein should have been checked on by a correctional officer every 30 minutes, according to Bureau of Prison protocols. But sources told ABC News that protocol was not followed prior to Epstein’s death by suicide. In recent weeks, the correctional officers' union has complained of understaffing. Those gripes are now part of the investigation into whether the 30-minute checks were happening, sources said. An autopsy was performed Sunday, according to a statement from the Chief Medical Examiner, who said the determination of Epstein's death is pending.

Though the man is dead, the quest for the truth shouldn't be. Attorney General William Barr has given assurances that the Justice Department will continue the investigation into the activities of Epstein and his accusers. Alas, dead men cannot be punished, so going after Epstein crimminaly would lead to a dead end, however it is a point of National Security to determine who else was involved with his elleged under age sex trafficing ring.

Sex trafficking has been one of the large reasons to secure the southern border, and with good reason. The human cost of selling underage girls to the highest bidder doesn't belong anywhere- especially the richest country on earth. Also, money from these black market transactions can find it's way into the hands of this country's most dangerous enemies.
