CLEVELAND--Former Browns OL coach and Hard Knocks favorite Bob Wylie appeared on CBS Sports Radio over the weekend and he gave everyone except Freddie Kitchens credit for the Browns turnaround last season.
Wylie claimed Browns GM John Dorsey didn't want to hire Gregg Williams as the head coach because he was too strong of a candidate and didn't want a clash with the head coach like Dorsey had in Kansas City with Andy Reid. Wylie also gave credit to Baker Mayfield's development to QB coach Ken Zampese and not Freddie Kitchens.
After Monday's practice, Kitchens responded to Wylie's thoughts.
We'll see if Wylie responds. But Wylie's thoughts shouldn't matter and the Browns will further use this as fuel for the 2019 season.
