Reds Defeat Indians 7-2, Ohio Cup Split at 1-1

CLEVELAND--In 21 hours, two games were played and the series concluded with a split between the Cleveland Indians and the Cincinnati Reds. On Wednesday afternoon, the Reds led by Nick Senzel and Joey Votto had back-to-back homers against rookie Zach Plesac (1-2) as the Reds beat the Indians 7-2.

The early Reds homers from Senzel and Votto happened so early that some fans were entering Progressive Field (24,045 attendance). .

The Indians had issues providing runs against Reds starter Anthony DeSclafani (3-3). After Freeman had a RBI Ground Out in the second to make the game close at 2-1, Pereza had a RBI Double in the fifth Suarez and Casali both homer later in the game to open the game up for the Reds.
