Report: Sexual Abuse Culture Allowed For Years In U.S. Figure Skating

A report by the U.S. Center for SafeSport says there has been a culture of sexual abuse in U.S. Figure Skating and count U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal among them who says that 'immediate change' is needed.

Blumenthal's on a Senate subcommittee that's investigating sexual abuse of Olympic gymnasts. Former team doctor Larry Nassar was convicted of abusing gymnasts for years.

Now, the SafeSport report says the national governing body for figure skating has allowed a culture of sexual abuse to go unchecked for years.

The issue further reared its' head in January after national pairs champion John Coughlin took his life a day after receiving an interim suspension for alleged sexual misconduct against minors.
