(Cleveland) - Two Cleveland men were arraigned Tuesday in the Friday night killing of a cook at the Academy Tavern in the Larchmere neighborhood.
27-year-old Jeremy Calloway and 24-year-old Omar Calloway are charged with aggravated murder in the stabbing death of 23-year-old Michael Reese.
Police say the suspects and Reese got into a physical confrontation in the restaurant's kitchen, which then spilled outside onto the parking lot and sidewalk. Reese died from a single stab wound. One of the suspects was also stabbed in the leg, and was taken to University Hospital after his arrest. A vigil for Reese was held at the site of the stabbing the following evening. The Academy Tavern has been a fixture on Larchmere Boulevard for many years.
Bond for each of the Calloways is set at 500 thousand dollars.
