The mother told officers how her son’s grades were not acceptable.
According to police, the mother suspected her son’s poor performance at school was caused by him being on his cell phone, often until 3 o'clock in the morning.
Officers told the teen and his father that the mother has the right to invoke discipline within the house, which includes taking away the cell phone.
