CLEVELAND, OH -- The Cavaliers faced off against the Toronto Raptors, as the Cavs were without Matthew Dellavedova and Larry Nance Jr. From the second the ball tipped, the Cavs played with a high-tempo offense. Both the Cavs and Raptors traded buckets back and forth throughout the first half, as the Cavaliers had a slim 4-point lead at halftime.
As the Raptors watched the Cleveland lead grow, tempers began to flair. With 4 seconds remaining in the 3rd quarter, Serge Ibaka and Marquese Chriss got tangled up and Ibaka was sent to the floor. Shortly after, Ibaka stood up and put Chriss in a headlock, as both players ended up throwing punches at each other. Both Chriss and Ibaka were tossed from the game after the scuffle. The Cavaliers took the momentum from both the lead and the fight, and cruised to a 126-101 victory.
Collin Sexton had one of the most complete games of his young career, leading the Cavaliers in scoring, putting up an impressive line of 28 points, 4 rebounds, and 5 assists. Kevin Love was a man amongst boys in the paint tonight, as Love made it a point to secure every possible rebound. K Love put up 16 points with 18 rebounds.
The Cavaliers will play the second game of a back-to-back on Tuesday night, as they will square off against The Philadelphia 76ers. Tip-off is set for 7:00 PM ET at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, PA.
