CLEVELAND, OH -- The Cleveland Cavaliers hosted the Detroit Pistons, as the Cavs were without Love, Thompson, and Zizic. The entire Cavaliers roster struggled to find a rhythm both offensively and defensively. Detroit came out of the gates red-hot, as they lit up the Cavaliers for 71 first half points. Cleveland shot an atrocious 27-79, and committed 12 turnovers, as the Pistons cruised to an easy 129-93 victory.
Blake Griffin kept the Piston's offense flowing, as Blake dropped 9 dimes, scoring 14 points. Andre Drummond dominated the paint, as he recorded a double-double off of only 25 minutes of play. Reggie Jackson led all scorers with 24 points.
Without Kevin Love, the Cavs showed how stagnant they can be, as they never showed any signs of positivity tonight. Cavaliers' rookie Collin Sexton led the team in scoring, despite an inefficient shooting night, as he scored 16 points on 3-13 shooting from the field. Jordan Clarkson showed frustration as he looked to the rafters after missing multiple shots in a row, as the usually spark plug only scored 11 points.
Kevin Love is set to return in the next game, as the Cavaliers will be hosting the Orlando Magic on Sunday, March 3rd. Tip-off is set for 6:00 PM ET at Quicken Loans Arena.
