GOODYEAR, Ariz. -- Most times in spring training exhibition games, it's far more important to look at the individual results rather than the final score. And even then, in the month of February, everything should be taken with a grain of salt.

Yes, the Texas Rangers clobbered the Indians 11-5 on Monday afternoon at Goodyear Ballpark dropping Cleveland's Cactus League record to 0-2-1 this spring, however what the Indians saw in Trevor Bauer and Greg Allen made the day feel pretty positive.

Allen, who is competing for a spot in the Tribe's everyday outfield, ripped a solo home run in the first inning to put Cleveland up 1-0, while Trevor Bauer only threw 18 pitches in an efficient three innings of work.

The Indians led 1-0 until the 7th inning when the Rangers plated 11 runs over the final three frames. Most of the damage by the Rangers took place after the Tribe's regulars had exited the contest.
