(Cleveland) - The Board of Education in Lakewood has approved a proposal for using the former Taft Elementary School facility. The old Taft building, which first opened in 1927, will be renovated, and the Central Office staff for the district will be moved in from the Board building on Warren Road. The sale of the Board of Education properties for the district, meanwhile, will go forward, with Liberty Development Company expected to close on the sale just after the beginning of the new year.
