CLEVELAND -- Despite flying across the country for a 1:00 kickoff in Cleveland, the Chargers offense was rolling. Philip Rivers threw a pair of touchdowns to Tyrell Williams, one of which came through the hands of Browns safety Damarious Randall.

While the Browns pass defense struggled through most of the game, the run defense was right there with them. Chargers running back Melvin Gordon had himself a day, rushing for 132 yards on 18 attempts, finding the endzone three times. Austin Ekeler tacked on 60 yards rushing as well.

Mayfield's third start as a pro did not go quite as planned. Mayfield was sacked 5 times, threw two interceptions, and tweaked his ankle on the sideline. "We didn't execute", said Mayfield, following a 38-14 beatdown. While Mayfield's 42 percent completion rate is not pretty, he fell victim to a few big time drops, including one through the hands of Browns' rookie Damion Ratley in the endzone. Mayfield's  lone touchdown pass of the day came on a goal-line fade to David Njoku, who made a fantastic play on the ball.

The Browns will look to bounce back next week against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Kickoff is set for 1:00 at Raymond James Stadium.
