Funeral Arrangements for Mentor Police Officer Matthew Mazany

Funeral arrangements for Mentor Police Officer Mathew Mazany who was killed in the line of duty on June 24, 2018 are as follows:

Visitation: Visitation is open to the public and will be conducted on Sunday, July 1, 2018 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Montreal Funeral Home located at 35400 Curtis Boulevard, Eastlake, OH 44095.

Services: A private service will be held at Monreal Funeral Home for family and law enforcement only on Monday, July 2, 2018 at 10:00 AM. Members of the public will not be admitted.

Following the private service, a police escort will lead the procession from Monreal Funeral Home to the Mentor High School Fine Arts Center located at 6477 Center Street, Mentor, OH 44060 for the public service.

The public is welcomed to line the procession route which will head west on Curtis, north on SR-91 to SR-20 (Vine Street), east on SR-20 to SR-615 (Center Street), then north to the north drive of Mentor High School.

The public service at the Mentor High School Fine Arts Center will begin at 11:00 AM. There will be no cemetery service.

Flowers may be sent to Monreal Funeral Home. Donations to the Officer Mathew Mazany Memorial Fund can be made at any Fifth Third Bank location or through GoFundMe.

The flags of the United States of America and the State of Ohio shall be flown at half-staff upon all public buildings and grounds throughout Lake County from sunrise to sunset on July 2, 2018 by proclamation of Governor John Kasich.
