(Cleveland) - Northeast Ohio's needy will be able to eat healthy meals, thanks to the generosity of supermarket shoppers.
This year's Harvest For Hunger campaign is being declared a success, with enough food and money collected to provide the needy with over 22 million meals. The three-month campaign reached its goal this year.
Greater Cleveland Food Bank president and CEO Kristin Warzocha says it's all due to the "dollar at a time" donations that grocery store customers make when they check out.
