(Cuyahoga County) - Garfield Heights Police believe that they have solved a cold case murder.
On January 8, 2018, detectives began investigating a homicide at 11804 Crofton Rd. The victim was Nicole Thorpe and she was killed by a single gunshot wound to her head.
Today, her 16 year-old nephew, Alonzo Thorpe from Shaker Heights was charged with her murder in the Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court.
Investigators are releasing few details but claim forensic evidence connected the teen to the crime.
