Indians Win Sixth Straight; Squeak Past Twins

(Minneapolis, MN)  --  Francisco Lindor homered twice as the Indians held off the Twins 9-8 in Minneapolis.  Lindor launched the go-ahead solo homer in the eighth inning to give Cleveland the win, and added a three-run shot in the fourth.

Jose Ramirez tagged a solo shot as the Tribe blew an eight-run lead before Lindor put them back on top.

Rookie starter Shane Bieber pitched into the sixth in his big league debut, and Tyler Olson earned the win.  Jake Odorizzi got chased in the fourth for Minnesota, and Addison Reed took the loss after giving up the go-ahead homer.

Miguel Sano's three-run bomb tied the game in the seventh.  Logan Morrison and Eduardo Escobar also homered as the Twins fell to 22-and-30.

The win was the sixth straight for the Indians, and keeps them 4 1/2 games in front of second-place Detroit.

The Tribe and the Twins continue the four-game series at Target Field Friday night at 8:10.  Carlos Carrasco starts for the Indians, Jose Berrios for Minnesota.  Hear the game on WTAM 1100.
