Browns Coach Jackson Takes The Plunge

Huntington Beach - It took some time, but Cleveland Browns Head Coach Hue Jackson finally kept his promise to fans all over Northeast Ohio and the world when he jumped into Lake Erie today.

He made the promise following a tough 2016 season in which he finished 1-15. Jackson stated he'd jump in if the team didn't improve in 2017. Well, we all know what happened then. An 0-16 season followed in 2017.

“I am excited about our organization, Dee and Jimmy (Haslam), and being a part of everything that we are trying to accomplish here from top to bottom".

Jackson added “The people in the organization have been outstanding. I have learned to shut my mouth a little bit more -- do not say something that you might end up having to do. We will get it behind us. I think it is going to be something special and for a great cause, as well. Like I said, it is going to be a cleansing of our organization, too.”

He didn't go into Lake Erie alone either.

In order to raise money for The Hue Jackson Foundation, which combats human trafficking in Northeast Ohio, Jackson pledged to donate $100 for each Browns employee that jumped into Lake Erie with him. Over 100 employees took the plunge with him to help out the cause.
