OAKLAND, CA--With 4.7 seconds remaining in regulation, George Hill had an opportunity to tie or take the lead with two free throws. After he made the first free throw to tie the game, Hill missed the 2nd free throw. JR Smith grabs the offensive rebound but dribbles away from the action and doesn't put up a shot before the end of regulation. It was one of the many bizzare moments of an otherwise thrilling yet painful game 1 loss for the Cleveland Cavaliers as they lose to the Golden State Warriors in overtime 124-114.

It was one of the many bizzare moments of an otherwise thrilling yet painful game 1 loss for the Cleveland Cavaliers. LeBron scored 51 points in 48 minutes of game action along with 8 rebounds and 8 assists, yet the charge he took from Kevin Durant late in the 4th quarter was oddly changed to a blocking foul. Below is the explanation from the NBA officials:

Ty Lue after the game was extremely frustrated by how this call took away from the hard work his team had in an otherwise competitive game 1 on the road where the Warriors have rarely lost during their four-year championship run. The Warriors have won every Game 1 in this 4 year Cavs/Warriors Finals Run.

In overtime, the Warriors had their way outscoring the Cavs 17-7 after the JR Smith mishap. Leading Warriors' performers were a trio of Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson with 29, 26, and 24 points respectively. Draymond Green only had 13 points, but had 11 rebounds and was responsible for the Tristan Thompson ejection at the end of overtime.

For the Cavs, Kevin Love had 21 points and 13 rebounds, JR Smith with 10 points and Larry Nance Jr with 9 points along with 11 rebounds and 4 of 6 from the field.
