BOSTON-The Cavs fell to the Celtics in Boston by Double-Digits. You could copy and paste that first line of the story for the third time this series. With this 96-83 loss to the Celtics, the Cavs face elimination heading into Game 6 on Friday night.

Only two Cavalier players finished with double-figures in scoring; LeBron James with 26 points and Kevin Love with 14 points. The starting backcourt of George Hill and JR Smith combined for 9 points. Even more disappointing, Smith only had 2 points and Tristan Thompson only had 1 point. Smith and Thompson were key figures in the 2016 NBA Finals.

For the Celtics, Jayson Tatum was the leader with 24 points. Jaylen Brown had 17 points and Marcus Smart & Marcus Morris with 13 points each off the bench.

As a team, the Cavs struggled mightily from downtown and from the free throw line. Cavs were 9 of 34 from three point territory. This show especially when the Cavs attempted to make a late comeback after a 9-0 run in the 4th quarter but they were unable to convert. From the free throw line, the Cavs shot 63 percent compared to the Celtics' 91 percent.

Game 6 is this Friday night at The Q with a 8:30pm tipoff on Newsradio WTAM 1100. Complete Cavaliers Coverage begins at 6pm with Cavs Now with Nick Camino and Greg Brinda. If the Cavs win, Game 7 will be back in Boston this Sunday.
