Rocky River Police Blotter: Man Asleep In A Cardboard Box

Below are items of interest from the Rocky River Police Department from Tuesday, 05/15/2018 through Monday, 05/21/2018.

  • On 05/16/2018 at about 2:40 PM police responded to Omaha Steaks on Center Ridge Rd. after customers were causing a disturbance, yelling and arguing with an employee over a coupon and the length of time the transaction was taking. The issue was resolved by a manager and no police action was taken. No Incident Report was taken.
  • On 05/19/2018 at about 2:05 AM officers responding to an alarm at Minotti's Wine & Beverage on Detroit Rd. discovered building had been forcibly entered. No suspect was in the store, several bottles of liquor and cartons of cigarettes were missing. Detectives are investigating. No video surveillance. 
  • On 05/19/2018 at about 6:40 AM the manager at a Detroit Rd. office building reported a man was sleeping in a cardboard box in the underground parking area. The man, 46-years-old from Cleveland, said he had been drinking the night before and did not want to ride his bicycle home. He was sent on his way; no charges were filed.
