PARMA – Tickets are currently available for Parma Night at Progressive Field. This year’s event will take place on Thursday, July 12 when the Cleveland Indians take on the New York Yankees; game time is 7:10 p.m.
Tickets are available for purchase at the Parma Recreation department, located at 7335 Ridge Road, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on weekdays. Parma Night tickets are $20.00 for family deck seats and the deadline to purchase tickets is June 21.
In addition to the baseball game, Parma Night attendees will be able to experience a few other special opportunities. For all Parma Recreation Department participants and coaches who attend the game, a pre-game parade will be held on the Indians’ field. In addition, this year’s Parma Night falls on the Indians’ promotional Carlos Carrasco Bobblehead Night, so the first 12,500 fans in the stadium will receive a bobblehead.
Also, for those considering attending Parma Night, there is the exciting opportunity to enter in the Mayor’s First Pitch raffle. Continuing with his own tradition, Parma Mayor Tim DeGeeter is giving up his opportunity to throw out the first pitch and choosing instead to create a raffle for all Parma residents, aged 17 or younger, who purchase tickets in advance. The Mayor has given up this privilege for the last six Parma Nights, creating a chance for Parma’s youth that very few people ever get to experience.
“Parma Night at Progressive Field is one of the highlights of our summer, and it’s great to see so many Parma residents taking advantage of this special night at the ballpark,” Mayor DeGeeter said. “And for me, it’s neat to give away the chance to throw out the first pitch. Going out to the mound with the first-pitch winner and seeing the excitement there is always fun.”
The raffle drawing will take place after tickets are sold out or returned to the Indians, which is usually about a week before the game.
