(Kent) -- Federal prosecutors say a Kent State University professor lied about his connection to a man accused of threatening a Missouri judge.
Julio Pino was indicted yesterday on a charge of making false statements.
Pino is accused of telling FBI agents that he didn't know a man who threatened the judge hearing a custody dispute, despite social media posts to the contrary.
Pino has been the subject of federal investigations because in his writings, he has indicated support for ISIS.
Kent State officials say Pino was immediately suspended after his arrest.
