(Cleveland) - (Cleveland) - Former WGAR, WWWE and WGCL personality 'Dancin' Danny Wright was honored by the Cleveland Association of Broadcasters as he received the group's 'Excellence in Broadcasting' award.
The ceremony was held at 'Windows on the River' in the Flats.
Among those introducing the popular disc jockey was NBC meteorologist and former Clevelander Al Roker video via.
Wright says it feels 'weird' as he doesn't believe he has done anything to warrant receiving an award. He just enjoyed making people happy, brightening their day, and was grateful for the opportunity.
Others receiving 'Excellence in Broadcasting' awards were News-5 meteorologist Mark Johnson, former TV-3 & Channel 8 newsman Dick Russ, and former Channel-43 personality Marty "Superhost" Sullivan.
