With 7:35 to go in the 4th quarter, Bradley Beal silenced the crowd at The Q with seemingly a final nail in the coffin three pointer to put the Wizards up by 17 points. The Cavs led mostly by LeBron James came back to win 119-115. Just when you thought you knew who was going to win, think again.
LeBron James led the charge with 33 points, 13 of which was in the 4th quarter comeback. He also had 14 assists including key assists to Jeff Green, Kyle Korver and Cedi Osman during the comeback. Green had 21 points and Love had 16 points.
Cavs head coach Tyronn Lue, who returned from medical leave Thursday night mentioned in his postgame comments that he was "bailed out" by James. The Cavs scored 39 points in the first quarter and led by as many as 15 points in the first half before the Wizards had a 32 point swing during the 2nd half. It was James' efforts that got them back into the game and the win.
Cavs have a quick turnaround Friday night as they will fly to Philadelphia to face the Sixers in a battle for 3rd place in the East. Sixers have won 12 straight games. Tipoff is at 7pm on Friday on 100.7 WMMS. Cavs only have three regular season games remaining before the NBA Playoffs begin next weekend.
