(Cleveland) -- Thousands of eggs and embryos are being impacted by a storage tank malfunction. Officials at University Hospitals Fertility Center say last Saturday, one of their liquid nitrogen storage tanks began warming up, beginning the thawing process. It is believed more than two-thousand vials were impacted, affecting more than 500 patients. Doctors say the eggs will have to be fully thawed out to determine if they're still viable, but cannot be refrozen. Anyone with eggs or embryos stored at the facility is urged to get in contact with their doctor.
