Vehicular homicide sentencing for teen postponed

(Cleveland) - A 17 year old girl will have to wait longer for her punishment, after pleading guilty to aggravated vehicular homicide and other charges.

The Strongsville teenager's sentencing was delayed after her attorney requested that the session be closed to the media.

So a hearing will have to be held once the defense files a formal motion.

The 17 year old girl pleaded guilty in January, to the car crash that killed her friend, 16 year old Kailee Mayher, and injured three others inside the vehicle.

The car hit a tree after running off Albion Road back in June.

The girl has been allowed to stay at home wait she awaits sentencing.
