The Browns have selected 13 WR’s since the team returned in 1999, and the team is still in searched of a true game breaker at the position.
This year’s draft may have just the type of guy that can help Colt McCoy and Pat Shurmur make the West Coast offense work on the shores of Lake Erie.

1. AJ Green Georgia has been tagged by some as a QB’s dream as Green can make the acrobatic catch in traffic and he has the speed and size to beat teams deep. The 3time All Sec WR has pro size as he comes in at 6-3, and most expect Green to make an instant impact just as he did at Georgia where he scored 8 touchdowns as 18yr old freshmen.
2. Julio Jones Alabama comes into the Draft w a winning pedigree and eye popping size and speed that makes some believe he is the top wide receiver in the draft. Jones tops out at 6-4 and over 220 lbs, he timed a tad faster than Green at the combine and is looked at as a more physical receiver.

Both of these guys are expected to be off the draft board with in the first 10 selections. The question is will one of these game breakers, get a phone call from Berea?
3. Titus Young Boise St is a tad undersized but can absolutely fly. Some have compared his game breaking ability to former Tom Heckert selection DeSean Jackson. Young will have to prove that he can get off the line against the bump and run coverage. But he has the speed teams dream about.
4. Tandon Doss Indiana some scouts have said that Doss may have the best hands out of any receiver in this draft. A smooth route runner, who stands at 6-3, could help as red zone type receiver. His speed is just average for the position.

Other wide receivers to watch. Greg Little UNC, Randall Cobb Kentucky, Torrey Smith Maryland, Jonathan Baldwin Pittsburgh and Cleveland’s own Mt Union grad Cecil Shorts who most likely will be drafted on Saturday.
