Chicago - Brian Hoyer threw for 307 yards to rally the Browns to an 18-16 win over the Chicago Bears in the final preseason game.
Hoyer who played his high school ball for St.Ignatius played the entire game after Jason Campbell came down with flu-like symptoms.
Punter Spencer Lanning kicked a 40 yard field goal with just over 3 minutes to play for the winning points. The Browns conclude the preseason with a 3-1 record.
They will open the regulars season September 8th, hosting the Miami Dolpins.
Head coach Rob Chudzinski says wide receiver Josh Gordon will be allowed to work out and attend team meetings while he serves a two game suspension to start the season. He will not be allowed to practice.
Chudzinski says rookie LB Barkevious Mingo has not been ruled out of the season opener. Mingo is recovering from a bruised lung.
The Browns must reduce their roster to 53 by 6pm Saturday.
