The NFL and NFLPA have released conflicting statements regarding the Ezekiel Elliott situation. pic.twitter.com/pNXBzsGZfD— FOX Sports: NFL (@NFLonFOX) August 16, 2017
Since this appears aimed at our piece, I'm compelled to point out that what we reported today came directly from the NFL's 160-page report. https://t.co/MfLwiSjRJC— Charles Robinson (@CharlesRobinson) August 16, 2017
This is definitely muddy. It certainly appears the NFL wanted to do everything they could to suspend Elliott. He's had some missteps and accusations lobbed at him since he came into the league, but ahsn't been charged. Ultimately, this will be negotiated down to maybe a two game suspension for misconduct. But as always, your businesses burden for misconduct varies greatly from the burden placed on prosecutors and the judicial system.
