Food Truck Series

  • Downtown Clevland hosts expanded lunchtime food truck events weekdays, May through September, featuring diverse cuisine and live music!
  • Brand new this year, Downtown Cleveland introduces Truck Stop Thursday, accompanying the anticipated return of favorites like Memorial Monday, Food Truck Tuesday, and Walnut Wednesday. Free Stamp Friday, formerly Food Truck Friday, is also making a comeback.
  • Mark your calendars from May 1st through Sept. 30th, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. every weekday, visit our website Downtowncleveland.com for musician lineup and event location details!

Tree Grant

  • Downtown Cleveland, Inc. is excited to share that we received a $27,000 grant from the Cleveland Tree Coalition to help improve Downtown’s tree canopy by planting new trees in our urban core!
  • Seven Celebration Maples have been planted along the upper walkway at Settlers Landing, thanks to this grant award.
  • As these trees continue to grow, they will provide new shade, beauty, and ecological benefits to our Downtown community.
  • This grant will also enable the installation of additional trees along a portion of Superior Avenue.
  • One of Reimagining Downtown Cleveland's tactics is to enhance Downtown's public spaces with the addition of trees, plants, water features, and more. Grants like these allow us to execute these plans.
  • Downtown Cleveland, Inc. looks forward to continuing to partner with the City of Cleveland and the Cleveland Tree Coalition to add more elements of interest throughout Downtown.

Attracting activity to American downtowns: Understanding downtown recovery across the course of a week

  • Cleveland ranks #5 in recovery among the Midwest and Northeast in a recent School of Cities, University of Toronto study, surpassing cities such as Boston, New York, and Chicago.
  • Cleveland has an approximate 63% recovery during typical work hours and nearly a 100% recovery after work hours.
  • Weekends skyrocket to over 100% of pre-pandemic levels.
  • Regular programming, a clean and safe environment, and a world-class food and beverage scene continue to boost the recovery of Downtown Cleveland.

Downtown Cleveland Facilitates Policy Change

  • DCI successfully advocated for changes to an outdated residential parking tax ordinance to provide parking operators with more flexibility and clarity and to make the application process easier for residents.
  • The draft that we helped put together was passed last week
  • This helps improve quality of life; allow parking owners/operators to comply and be safe from audits
  • Review our 2024 Public Policy Agenda on our website
