A California woman miraculously survived a 1,000-foot-fall while mountain climbing in Denali National Park in Alaska.

The 30-year-old woman and her climbing partner, 52-year-old Robbi Mecus, fell last Friday while climbing the 8,400-foot Mount Johnson.

Mecus was killed, but the woman survived and was discovered by some fellow climbers, who dug a snow tunnel and helped her until medics arrived to fly her to a hospital in Anchorage.
