Cleveland Guardians Unveil What's New for 2024

(Cleveland) Renovations at Progressive Field, which began at the conclusion of the 2023 season, are ongoing through to the start of the 2025 season. But some of the work is ready for Monday's home opener. And those renovations were unveiled to the media on Thursday.

Much of the focus of the work has been on the upper deck, which had been left relatively intact since the ballpark opened in 1994. Now standing room only fans up there can enjoy the open-air Terrace Garden in left field which includes open seating and a drink rail. And in right field, the ribbon was cut at the new Paul Davis Pennant District, which is also an open-air space designed for both large and small groups.

The Bleachers have been named in honor of John Adams who for nearly a half century bang his drum for the team he loved so dearly. Fans will notice the John Adams Bleacher signs at both entrances to the bleachers and at each section walk-up ramp.

The team has added new menu items for 2024 too. Among them are the Heater, a pulled pork sandwich that, you guessed it, is hot! Also, boneless wings with a choice of dipping sauce. Other items include Chicken Bacon Ranch Fries, Choolaah Bowls, Cuban Dog, and Fried Chicken and Jo Jos.

Guardians V-P of Communications Curtis Danburg says fans will find plenty of new things to make their experience at the ballpark different from the last time they were there. He says its important that the ballpark continue to evolve.
